Tony Carlin has more than 15 years of practical experience in international business, marketing and e-business. Tony is recognized as a progressive Irish business professional and has carried out extensive research, market exploration, trade mission consultation, analysis and consulting services for a number of Irish and UK hi-tech companies and interactive agencies interested in entering the North American market.

Tony graduated from Belfast Institute of Technology (Northern Ireland, UK) and Manchester Metropolitan University (England, UK) with a BA Honors in Clothing and Textile Technology and a major in production management.

Tony came to the US as part of a graduate program sponsored by the Department of Economic Development for Northern Ireland to do business development and marketing for Irish and UK companies looking to setup operations in the North American marketplace. This international marketing and product development program ran in conjunction with courses at the University of Ulster and Boston University and was aimed at developing export opportunities and market entry strategy for qualified companies.

After briefly returning to Northern Ireland to fulfill his contract, Tony returned to the US in 1993 and began his career working in the rapidly changing business world of digital B2C and B2B solutions.

He joined Trigen Energy Corporation, a national utility, leading a paperless innovation practice, driving centralized data storage, evaluating early web technologies and managing the Boston office information systems. By 1997, Tony had taken on a role at a leading edge professional services company Internet Business Advantages, Inc. In his position as a consultant, he led IBA's understanding of user interface business modeling and the use of dynamic prototyping as part of the implementation strategy. In 1999 he joined international marketing agency EuroRSCG 4D as an executive producer during which he launched much acclaimed advocacy site theTruth.com and lead the development and implement of major online marketing strategies worth $6M annually for Verizon, BMW, Talbots and Campbell Soup.

By 2002, Tony had established his own E-business consulting company CARLIN Consulting, Inc. successfully delivering interactive business consulting, creative strategy development, online and offline marketing services, and application development and deployment for over 100 companies across varies sectors.
