- Directed the 3PL improvement efforts at a major Mexico-based trucking company line sequencing operation, including warehousing, Kanban response, production schedule conversion, inbound transportation scheduling, and line-side material handling
- Directed a 3PL transportation group that managed inbound logistics for three automotive transmission plants and 22 tier one supplier plants
- Directed 3PL analysis for a Tier 1 tire and rim supplier's line sequencing operation to support pickup truck production

- Ran a nine month project to map, measure and baseline a large building supplies manufacturer's North American supply chain resulting in strategic recommendations for the manufacturer's internal re-engineering efforts

- Sold and managed one of the first large contract outsourcing operations - the North American surface and air logistics for one of the top two American chemical companies
- Managed the North American logistics for the number two specialty chemical and fiber producer
Food
- For a top frozen pie company, developed processes to understand upcoming promotions and likely competitive impacts at major supermarket chains. The processes led to improved planning of production at the product/sku level three to four months in advance of consumer demand. The analysis also identified where promotions changed procurement behavior but did not lead to any longer term consumer sales impact
- For one of the largest food manufacturers, developed a messaging visibility infrastructure improving the reliability of data being passed between legacy ERP solutions, SAP, several warehouse management systems and the transportation management system.
Hi Tech
- Designed and led the implementation of a quarterly assessment of order fulfillment, facility and product shipment performance
- Designed and implemented an activity based costing and management solution for worldwide semiconductor manufacturing
- Implemented an enhanced quarterly forecasting process across all manufacturing departments which significantly improved predictability and financial performance
- Led the financial design and implementation and directed the overall communications of a 5-Module SAP R/3 solution at a leading semi-conductor company
- Developed the strategic recommendation to outsource Global outbound logistics to a 4PL/Lead Logistics provider, resulting in the first large-scale lead logistics outsourcing in the telecommunications industry

- Designed, developed and deployed the RFID infrastructure for a leading provider of medical devices allowing them to be among the first suppliers meeting the RFID requirements issued by their retail customer.
Retail and Consumer Products
- Optimized the port logistics of a large Mid-Western office supplies manufacturer. The project reduced freight cost by 15% and measurably improved delivery reliability
- Created a logistics and finance-focused data warehouse and reporting infrastructure gathering data from 20 operational systems to give management accurate and timely business intelligence
- For a well known bath and kitchen manufacturer, analyzed their supply chain in support of North American markets and identified an 18% reduction opportunity in costs. Additional opportunities were identified if the company was willing to shift production between low cost countries.
- For a major film and computer graphics equipment manufacturer optimized their US supply chain following two major acquisitions; closing 20 warehouses, four customer service sites and creating a single supply chain organization.
- Designed, developed and deployed the RFID infrastructure for a leading provider of medical devices allowing them to be among the first suppliers meeting the RFID requirements issued by their retail customer.
- Worked with UCC/GS1 to develop a data architecture merging EPC (Electronic Product Codes) RFID and conventional barcodes into one unifying representation.
